Scientific Data Management System

LOGS is Scientific Data Management System (SMDS) with a central research data repository that enables researchers to manage and communicate scientific measurement data in a FAIR manner. LOGS extracts metadata and stores it alongside raw data for long-term retention. Using only a browser, it enables researchers to access data securely and monitor measurement progress. Supporting many data formats, LOGS automatically pulls acquired data from instruments, reading out all contextual information (metadata, acquisition parameters, etc.), storing them in a searchable database, allowing powerful complex queries e.g. via browser user interface or via API programming interfaces (REST API, Python API). Specific data sets can be communicated or shared securely with external collaborators. LOGS also integrates with existing ELNs or LIMSs, enabling a complete and FAIR data workflow for third party platforms. In summary, LOGS enables researchers to comply with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
